The game inZOI, a new life simulation, aims to change this type of game with its very realistic settings, AI that controls the world and new ways to play. The Producer and Director, Hyungjun "Kjun" Kim, spoke of the game's creation and special parts in a talk with Game Rant. He spoke of what gave him the idea, the tech used, in addition to what he wants for a changing, involving simulation to play.

Where It Began and What Gave the Idea

The idea for inZOI came from Kim's love for life simulation games, like The Sims, which he often did play with his son. He knew there was a need for a better life simulation game, mainly in Korea, so he chose to make inZOI. He used what he knew from MMORPGs. Kim and his workers aimed to build a big, open world with systems that could show a real life.

Main Parts and New Tech

inZOI is not like other life simulation games because of its advanced graphics, made with Unreal Engine 5 and its wide community simulation system. The game has changing actions between 300 characters in the game, known as "Zois." This makes events in real time, to make the world seem alive.

One of the best parts of inZOI is how much can be changed. Players can build characters and places with AI creative tools such as 3D printers, texture making as well as motion capture. The game has a deep system of relationships, where Zois join based on what they are like, what they value, in addition to what they want. Events like rumors and trends change these bonds, to give depth to the story.

Character and Environment Modification

Modification in inZOI exceeds the standard, with features for thorough character design. A special "Facial Capture" method is included. It lets users add their own faces into the game, which enhances immersion. The game has a strong system for furniture and interior design. It gives ways to create individual items and even to share those with the community.

The open world of inZOI aims to copy actual cities. Locations such as Dowon, based on Seoul’s Gangnam, Bliss Bay, reflecting Santa Monica's coastal appeal and Kucingku, drawing from Southeast Asia’s tropical scenery, are available. These different places give users a rich, varied setting for their simulation.

AI NPCs and Smart Zois

A key feature of inZOI is the advanced AI which powers its NPCs. The Smart Zoi system comes from work with NVIDIA and allows NPCs to interact with users in a more natural, active manner. These characters can change in response to current events, react to the setting along with create their own unique stories.

In early access Smart Zois can be used on a trial basis. Users can shape these characters through prompts that change their actions and interactions.

Immersive Gameplay and Simulation

The game balances realism and freedom for creativity. With the "Manage City" feature, those who play can handle the environment, changing things such as how clean the area is, safety for all as well as how many people reside there. The weather which changes, affects how the game is played, influencing character actions, their well-being as well as how they connect with each other.

Moving about is a major part of daily existence in inZOI. The game provides many ways to travel. These include driving yourself, utilizing public transportation and automated driving. This makes sure players can move around the world as they wish. Combining choices for both driving yourself and automated driving shows the group's goal to present a variety of gameplay choices.

Career and Social Systems

The job system adds another degree of realism. It lets players pick jobs, advance at work along with find a balance between their job and personal life. Connections with others and interactions between individuals are important. People who play shape the community using events, like parties or weddings along with deal with the changing relationships between characters.

Future Plans and Post-Launch Support

Kim made clear the group's focus on making things better even after the start. The game will be accessible in Early Access on March 28. The developers are dedicated to improving the game based on what players say. The aim is for inZOI to grow into a space where those playing can freely show who they are, build things as well as make their own narratives.

Due to its high level of immersion, freedom along with content made by the community, inZOI is set to change life simulation games. It also gives players a truly special and adaptable experience. The group plans to grow the game through frequent updates, new additions along with continued interaction with players.
