The inZOI team has announced that the update originally planned for late May has been delayed to mid-June. The reason for the delay is to improve quality and polish the content. This update will also introduce the first version of the ModKit – a toolset for creating and sharing mods.

What’s Coming in the ModKit:

  • A tool to edit or replace graphics for outfits and furniture

  • JSON files for customizing game settings and logic

  • Sample projects showing how to create clothing, hairstyles, furniture, and interactions

For beginners, there will be a special CAZ Wizard tool to help with outfit modding. More complex data-based modding will be covered in a separate tutorial. Some features, such as scripting, will not be available at launch but are in development.

Mods can be shared in two ways:

  1. Upload to CurseForge and use them via the in-game Mod Browser

  2. Save locally and place files in Documents\inZOI\Mods to use manually

Zoi Behavior and Emotion Improvements

The June update will also include fixes and improvements to how Zois express emotions and act based on personality. Issues like frozen facial expressions or lack of emotional reactions will be addressed.

New emotion-based interactions are being added—for example, a sad Zoi might "cry in the bathroom." Even regular activities like eating will vary depending on the Zoi's mood and needs.

This is just the beginning. The team wants each Zoi to develop a unique personality and respond more naturally to the game world.
