As Korea enters a long holiday weekend, the inZOI team shared this week’s update a little earlier than usual. Alongside continued Fundamentals First improvements, the team provided important insight into upcoming cheat tools, script modding support, and deeper customization systems.
While the game still has its shortcomings, the developers reaffirmed their goal of steadily refining inZOI throughout 2026.
🧪 In-Game Cheat System (In Development)
One of the most significant announcements this week is the development of an in-game GUI-based cheat system.
Cheats were previously postponed due to concerns about:
-
Stability risks
-
Unexpected behavior conflicts
-
Increased confusion in a game that is still being polished
However, strong community demand has led the team to move forward with implementation.
👉 The upcoming update will introduce several new cheat options, with more planned in the future.
🧩 Script Modding Expansion (Lua Integration)
Modding remains one of inZOI’s top priorities for 2026.
Additional developers have now been assigned to accelerate script modding support, particularly:
-
Connecting in-game systems through Lua scripting
-
Linking accumulated game functions into a cohesive, moddable structure
The challenge lies in the scale—over time, inZOI has accumulated many interconnected systems, and exposing them safely to scripting requires more effort than originally expected.
Even so, modding support continues to expand steadily.
🚲 More Natural Bike Riding
Bike riding animations continue to be refined.
While already improved, the team acknowledged that:
-
Movement transitions still need polishing
-
Animation flow must feel more grounded and realistic
This remains an ongoing animation-focused refinement.
✋ Two-Hand Multitasking
Zoi can now hold different objects in both hands.
Example use case:
-
A busy waiter carrying multiple dishes simultaneously
This expands the game’s multitasking system and enables more dynamic interaction scenarios.
💬 Dialogue Prompt Override System
Previously, players had to wait until all current interactions were completed before initiating new dialogue.
This was considered counterintuitive.
Now:
-
New dialogue prompts can override ongoing interactions
This improves pacing and responsiveness during social interactions.
🏗 AI Build & Render Improvements
AI Build continues to receive stability fixes and functional upgrades.
New additions include:
-
Applying wall and floor colors directly through AI Build
-
Supporting different furniture types in renders
-
Improved categorization of bedrooms and bathrooms based on size
These changes enhance both usability and visual customization.
⌨ Keybinding Customization & Modifier Combos
Key customization has officially entered development.
Players will be able to:
-
Change single key binds
-
Use modifier combinations (Shift / Ctrl)
-
Switch movement keys (example shown: WASD → ESDF)
-
Assign shortcuts for switching Zoi
-
Use key combos for speed multipliers
This adds flexibility for different playstyles and control preferences.
👘 Outfit Preview & Traditional Interactions
The team is exploring a feature allowing players to:
-
Preview outfit changes directly within their current environment
-
See how clothing looks in-context before confirming
Additionally, certain traditional outfits unlock:
-
Special interactions available only while wearing them
Traditional architecture is also being expanded, including:
-
A vintage café setting at Douwon’s Ullim Temple, which players can purchase
🧱 Small Quality-of-Life Improvements
The team continues refining everyday interactions:
-
More realistic eating animations for baked goods
-
Ability to check fortune without needing to sit
-
New traditional mat seating option
Small adjustments like these support immersion and natural flow.
👶 Baby Updates & Visual Refinements
Baby-related improvements continue to appear weekly.
Recent changes include:
-
Newborn babies no longer display visible teeth
(Teeth appear only after a growth stage) -
Additional baby outfits
-
Less intrusive baby photo system
-
Babies can now imitate objects (example: copying a toy duck) as part of learning-by-observation behavior
These refinements respond directly to community feedback.
🌙 Looking Ahead
As this update followed closely after the recent mini patch, next week’s video may be lighter in content. However, development remains active across:
-
Cheat systems
-
Script modding
-
AI Build
-
Interaction depth
-
Animation polish
The team will continue monitoring feedback during the Lunar New Year break and return with further updates next week.
