Features that would make inZoi more interactive , Immersive, and replayable
Dear inZOI Development Team,
I am writing as a player who genuinely enjoys inZOI and believes the game has an incredible amount of potential. I wanted to share several feature ideas that I think could make the game significantly more immersive, interactive, and replayable.
One of my biggest suggestions is music festivals. Adding major festival-style events inspired by the experience of places like Coachella or Lollapalooza would give players another exciting destination to visit. Festivals could include performances, food stands, merchandise, crowds, activities, and opportunities to meet other characters. This could become an entire social experience rather than simply another location.
I would also love to see more interactive social and relationship features, including:
- The ability to look through the phones of certain characters, such as best friends, partners, boyfriends/girlfriends, or spouses, when appropriate within the game.
- Group chats where multiple characters can communicate.
- Characters being able to post drama, relationship updates, rumors, or other posts on social media.
- The ability for the player's character to post pictures on social media.
- More relationship-related interactions and situations that can naturally create drama.
- Dating apps that characters can actually use.
- A rental boyfriend/girlfriend app, including the option for the player to work as a rental boyfriend or girlfriend.
- Taxis and other transportation options.
- DoorDash-style food delivery.
- The ability to attend sports games.
- More concerts and live entertainment.
- Hotels and resorts that players can actually visit and interact with.
I would also love to see more character customization and real-life experiences, such as getting piercings and being able to dye your character's hair in-game. These small additions can make characters feel much more personal and allow players to change their appearance as their story progresses.
Another area I think could be expanded is parties and special events. More event types would give players reasons to continue playing and create different scenarios for their characters. Examples could include graduation parties, bachelorette parties, sleepovers, birthday parties, engagement parties, holiday events, and other celebrations.
I would also strongly encourage expanding the pre-made house selection. Having a larger variety of homes and more detailed, interesting layouts would make starting a new character feel more exciting.
One of my biggest suggestions, however, is making the city itself much more interactive. Right now, there are only a limited number of places that players can actually enter and use. I think it would make an enormous difference if more of the buildings throughout the city had functional stores or businesses inside them.
For example, instead of having buildings that are simply part of the scenery, players could potentially enter them and discover clothing stores, restaurants, salons, cafés, entertainment venues, specialty shops, offices, and other businesses. This would make the city feel much more like a real, living environment. It would also give players far more things to do and could help prevent the game from becoming repetitive or boring after players have explored the existing locations.
I would also love to see more vacation destinations and places to live. Having additional cities, vacation locations, resorts, or neighborhoods would make the world feel much larger and give players more reasons to start new lives and explore different environments.
And finally, I want to highlight the feature I would be most excited to see: optional storylines.
I think this could completely change the way players experience inZOI.
After creating their characters, players could optionally choose a storyline before beginning the game. The storyline would not control the player's actions or force them through a predetermined plot. Instead, it would be incorporated naturally into normal gameplay and unfold around the player.
For example, a player could select a Love Triangle storyline and choose which character they want the storyline to involve. The player could then simply live their normal life. One day, they might visit an amusement park and meet someone new. The next day, they might go to the mall and meet another person. Over time, both characters could become interested in them, eventually creating a love triangle where the two characters compete for their attention.
The important part is that the player wouldn't have to follow a scripted sequence. The storyline would come to the player.
Another example could be a Gold Digger storyline. Suppose the player's character works as a regular barista. One day, a famous and extremely wealthy person walks into the café, becomes interested in the character, and starts talking to them. The player could then choose whether to pursue that relationship and potentially unlock special interactions based on the storyline.
For example, the player might receive options to ask the wealthy character to buy them something expensive, take them somewhere luxurious, or otherwise use the relationship to their advantage.
Certain storylines could also have requirements to make them feel more realistic. For instance, the Gold Digger storyline might require the character to have a job at a store, café, or another public-facing workplace so that the wealthy character has a logical reason to encounter them.
There could be many different optional storylines, such as:
- Love triangles
- Secret relationships
- Enemies-to-lovers
- Unexpected celebrity encounters
- Rich-person/ordinary-person relationships
- Friendship drama
- Family drama
- Career-related storylines
- Rivalries
- Unexpected fame
- Breakups and reconciliation
- Secret admirers
- Social-media drama
The possibilities are practically endless.
I think a system like this would make inZOI far more replayable, because players could create the same characters multiple times and experience completely different situations depending on which storyline they choose. It would also allow players who simply want to play normally to do so, while giving players who want more drama and storytelling the option to add it to their game.
Overall, I think inZOI already has a strong foundation, but expanding the city, adding more interactive locations, introducing more social features, and especially creating optional storylines could make the game feel even more alive.
The biggest thing I would love to see is for the world to feel like it is actually happening around the player. Instead of players always having to initiate everything, characters could have their own lives, post things, start drama, meet the player unexpectedly, invite them places, and create situations that players didn't necessarily plan for.
That kind of unpredictability would make every playthrough feel different.
Thank you for taking the time to read my suggestions and, most importantly, for continuing to develop inZOI. I hope some of these ideas can be considered for future updates. I genuinely believe features like these could make the game even more immersive, interactive, and exciting for both current players and new players.
