The inZOI team has shared another weekly development update, revealing several new features currently in progress as the game moves closer to its one-year anniversary.

Alongside the update, Kjun also confirmed the schedule for the upcoming March update, which is planned for March 26 at 06:00 UTC.

According to the developers, most of the goals outlined in the “Fundamentals First” roadmap earlier this year have already been achieved — and the team may have even implemented more features than originally planned.

As development continues to accelerate, this week’s video preview highlighted a wide range of upcoming gameplay improvements, new systems, and content expansions.

🗺️ Early Look at the inZOI Minimap

One of the most requested features from the community — a Minimap — has finally been previewed.

The developers showed an early version of the system currently in development. While it still requires several iterations before the final implementation, the team plans to reveal more of its capabilities in the near future.

This feature is expected to significantly improve navigation and spatial awareness, especially in larger areas.

🎮 Gameplay Improvements & Interaction Flow

Several improvements are being made to make gameplay interactions feel more natural and responsive.

Key interaction changes include:

  • Zoi can now perform simple actions while walking, improving multitasking.

  • Automatic interruptions allow urgent needs to override ongoing actions.

  • A simple cheat option to disable visual effects has been added for players capturing screenshots or videos.

These changes aim to create a smoother and more realistic gameplay flow.

💼 New Careers in Development

The team is also working on expanding the game's career system.

Two careers currently in development include:

🚚 Freelance Delivery Career

Players will be able to take delivery orders from various clients, completing jobs across the game world.

🌼 Florist Career

Progress continues on the Florist profession, which will allow players to:

  • buy flower seeds

  • grow flowers in fertile soil

  • craft flower baskets

  • gift bouquets to other characters

🎉 Events, Holidays & Party Activities

The update also introduces new social and seasonal activities.

One of the upcoming additions is a piñata party activity, where players can break a piñata to collect different types of candy.

Another feature allows players to schedule holidays on specific calendar dates. Special events like the Winter Festival may spawn temporary landmarks that appear for the event and disappear afterward.

These systems are designed to make the game world feel more dynamic and seasonal.

👕 Expanded Outfit Customization

More flexibility is coming to the clothing system.

New customization options include:

  • Color customization for dresses, making them usable in more casual situations.

  • Male swimsuits can now be combined with other outfits, expanding styling options.

These changes aim to improve creative freedom when designing characters.

🧠 Long-Term Systems: Memory & Phone Features

The team also shared progress on several foundational systems that will impact long-term gameplay.

🧠 Memory System

A new memory system is in development that records significant or traumatic events experienced by a Zoi.

These memories may influence the character’s future behavior and reactions.

📱 Phone System Improvements

New phone features are also being developed, including:

  • adding or removing contacts

  • managing phone numbers

  • improved messaging and calling interactions

For example, players may ask strangers for their phone number to start conversations.

🛠️ Additional Improvements & Upcoming Content

Several other improvements and content additions were previewed in the development update.

These include:

  • Tooltips to help new players understand game systems

  • Improved visuals for lower graphics settings

  • New property construction screenshots

  • Upcoming assets such as:

    • mannequins

    • graduation robes

    • American football uniforms

The team also confirmed continued work on VIP lounge content.

As the game approaches its first anniversary, the development team says they are accelerating their work to deliver as many new features and improvements as possible.
