The inZOI team is back from the year-end break and fully recharged. Development continues under the “Fundamentals First” approach, while multiple new features are being prepared in parallel.

In this weekly update, the developers shared a broad range of improvements focused on group gameplay, everyday quality-of-life changes, vehicles, world interaction, character creation, animations, and ongoing technical polish.

As always, community feedback remains a key part of the development process.

👥 Group Features & Interaction Feedback

Several updates aim to improve clarity and usability when playing in groups:

• A group member tracker is being added, allowing players to see where all group members are located on the map
• Failed interactions with a Zoi will now display specific reasons explaining why the interaction is currently unavailable

These changes are designed to reduce confusion and make social gameplay more transparent.

🧩 Everyday Gameplay – Quality of Life Updates

A number of small but impactful refinements are coming to daily gameplay:

• Property prices can now be viewed at their base value, without construction fees
• Group meals can be quickly portioned for even distribution
• Crafting will be possible at any desk, not only at dedicated workstations
• Stealing another Zoi’s crops now carries risk — if the owner is nearby, the player can be caught and fined

🚗 Vehicles, Collisions & World Interaction

Vehicle behavior and environmental interactions are being refined for greater realism:

• Newly purchased cars will receive unique license plate numbers
• Vehicle acceleration now tapers off more naturally at higher speeds
• Vehicle–Zoi collisions have been adjusted to remove unnatural joint movements
• Auto-walk will guide Zois around breakable objects, even though vehicles can still drive through them
• Broken objects will not respawn while a player is standing on their debris

🏗️ World Building & Performance

The team is gradually transitioning cities toward full player customization:

• Pre-made city buildings are being replaced with build mode structures
• These structures will be fully customizable by players
• This is a long-term process due to the large number of buildings
• Developers confirmed that performance and optimization will not be negatively impacted

🧍 Zoi Creation, Presets & Themed Content

Character creation is becoming more flexible and player-controlled:

• Players can choose which specific parts, traits, or data are randomized before using the main randomize button
• Zoi presets (default or downloaded) can overwrite only selected character elements
Lunar New Year outfits and build mode assets are being prepared to celebrate the seasonal event

🎭 Animations, Life Simulation & Relationships

A wide range of new animations is in development to deepen immersion:

• New criminal animations for buying valuable information before heists
• Beginner and advanced versions of sit-up exercises
• New mentoring interactions
• Everyday actions such as using a phone on the toilet
• Writing emotions in a diary when sad or angry

Family & Romance Updates

• Family animations: children of different ages kissing their mother, babies throwing random objects
• Continued work on complex stroller movement animations
• Stronger romantic interactions, including:
– A more visible “set the mood” interaction
– Couples bathing together in a tub

💬 Community Feedback & Ongoing Communication

The developers once again emphasized the importance of player feedback:

• Players are encouraged to share what they liked, disliked, and suggest new ideas
• The team confirmed they will read and reply to comments, with responses planned for the following Wednesday
• Weekly development updates will continue as a regular part of communication
