Following the Lunar New Year break, the inZOI team has returned with a development progress update covering UI customization, interaction improvements, character presentation changes, and new baby-related features.
This week’s video focused heavily on responding to community feedback — especially regarding UI layout, realism, and quality-of-life improvements.
Let’s break it down.
🖥 UI Layout Customization – Old Layout Returns (With More Options)
One of the most common pieces of feedback was about the newer UI filling too much of the screen.
In response, the team is:
-
Bringing back a layout option that feels closer to the older, less intrusive version
-
Introducing multiple layout presets
-
Adding per-element resizing controls
Players will be able to adjust the size of individual UI components, making the interface far more customizable than before.
This marks a clear shift toward player-driven UI personalization rather than a single fixed design.
👗 Situational Outfits – UI Improvements in Testing
The team is currently reworking the situational outfits interface.
While no final version has been revealed yet, developers confirmed:
-
Multiple layout approaches are being tested
-
The goal is to make the feature more practical and intuitive
-
Community feedback is actively being considered
Players are encouraged to share suggestions before the changes are finalized.
📺 TV Interaction Improvements
Two updates were shown related to televisions:
1️⃣ Reactive Behavior
If you turn off a TV while another Zoi is watching it, they may now react with visible frustration — sometimes even approaching the player’s character to express it.
This adds more personality and situational realism to everyday interactions.
2️⃣ Placement Flexibility
TVs can now be placed on more types of furniture, expanding interior design possibilities.
👻 Ghost Zoi Visual Clarity
Previously, it was difficult to tell which objects Ghost Zois were interacting with.
Now:
-
Ghost Zois leave a more visible trace on objects they are currently using
This improves readability and overall visual clarity.
🚿 Shower Presentation Rework
The shower system has received a presentation update after community feedback.
Players previously noted that showering with a towel on looked awkward. Because the team could not apply full nudity blur, they implemented an alternative solution:
-
Shower bubbles now appear outside innerwear
-
Zoi innerwear designs were updated to better support this visual change
-
Zois now briefly wear a bathrobe after showering
The developers specifically asked players to test this once released and share feedback.
👶 Expanded Baby Features & Quality-of-Life
Several baby-related improvements were introduced:
New Additions
-
New baby outfits
-
Flash photography option for baby photos
-
One-click cleanup for baby messes
-
Blur effect during breastfeeding
-
New play activity: watching a toy car move around a track
These changes significantly expand realism while improving convenience for players managing families.
🧥 Future Content Assets Preview
The team also showcased in-progress assets for upcoming updates, including:
-
Mannequins
-
Graduation robes
-
American football uniforms
-
VIP Lounge content (still in active development)
These previews suggest both lifestyle and social-environment expansions are on the way.
🧍 Wider Body Types – More Realistic Representation
One of the most notable segments of the update focused on wider Zoi body types.
The team acknowledged that in Korean culture, there is often a tendency to present characters in a “flawless” way. However, many international players have requested more realistic body representation.
As a result:
-
Wider body types have been visually adjusted
-
Greater realism and natural variation are being implemented
Developers specifically asked whether these updates align with community expectations.
🎯 Overall Direction
This development update was heavily community-driven.
Key themes included:
-
Player-requested UI flexibility
-
Increased realism in character presentation
-
More emotional and reactive interactions
-
Family gameplay expansion
-
Ongoing content pipeline development
With the holidays over, the team confirmed they are fully back to development mode and continuing to refine inZOI week by week.
More updates are expected soon.
