The inZOI v0.9.0 update has arrived, bringing one of the game's biggest features yet: fully playable high school gameplay. Players can now attend classes, join clubs, take exams, go to prom, and graduate. The update also introduces clothing stores, new baby systems, experimental first-person mode, improved driving, dozens of new Create a Zoi items, and many quality-of-life improvements.

🎓 Fully Playable High School Added

High school gameplay is now fully playable.

New school properties have been added to:

• Dowon
• Bliss Bay
• Cahaya

Teenage Zois can enroll and attend the same school until they graduate as Young Adults.

Because schools have limited capacity, some students may attend rabbit-hole schools when active schools are full.

Players can transfer students between schools using the school app, while keeping previously earned grades.

⚠️ Older school creations downloaded from Canvas may not work correctly due to school property changes.

📚 Classes, Grades & Discipline

Students now follow a schedule and attend:

• Science
• Art
• Skill
• Physical Education
• General Education

Every Thursday, students take exams.

Final grades are based on:

• Test scores
• Classroom behavior

Poor performance can lead to:

• Warnings
• Expulsion from school

Students can also interact with classmates and teachers throughout the school day.

🔒 Lockers, Lunch & School Life

• Every student receives a personal locker.
• Students can eat lunch in the cafeteria.
• Meals can be collected from staff or picked up directly.

🏆 School Clubs

Students can join extracurricular clubs including:

• Cooking
• Fitness
• Cheerleading
• Programming

Each club requires specific skill levels before joining.

💃 Prom & Graduation

Students can now:

• Ask another Zoi to be their prom partner
• Leave prom invitations inside lockers

Prom King and Queen are selected through voting.

Depending on relationships, students may receive invitations to after-parties after prom.

Once all school requirements are completed, students participate in a graduation ceremony. 🎓

🏪 Clothing Store Business Added

A brand-new Clothing Store business is now available.

Players can:

• Place mannequins
• Create outfit combinations
• Sell outfits to other Zois

The update also adds:

• 7 exclusive clothing items available only through clothing stores

💇 Hair Salon Improvements

Several salon improvements have been added:

• Hair colors now remain when changing hairstyles
• Refunds are available for failed haircuts
• Children's hairstyle options now match Create a Zoi
• 3 exclusive hairstyles added to hair salons

🚗 Vehicle Improvements

• Family members can drive vehicles owned by another household member
• U-turns are now possible
• Traffic simulation has been improved

🗺️ Better Navigation & Maps

The mini-map now works more like a GPS.

New features include:

• Navigation guidance to destinations
• Display of current facing direction
• Optional rotating mini-map based on character direction

✨ Other Gameplay Changes

• Career missions and social event missions now appear in the same window
• NPC Zois have more varied appearances
• Holiday icons appear in the schedule editor

👀 Experimental First-Person Mode

Players can enable an experimental first-person camera using:

Then press Tab to switch views.

• Press ' to open the Ring Menu
• Press Tab while it's open to customize shortcuts

🏎️ Advanced Driving Mode

An experimental Advanced Driving Mode has been added.

This improves:

• Handbrake behavior
• Suspension
• Vehicle body roll
• Anti-roll systems
• Air control

for cars, motorcycles, and kickboards.

⚠️ Active Mode remains in development and is not included in this update.

🤝 Interactions

• Ragdoll physics added to vehicle crashes and collisions
• Zois no longer need to stand up before performing another interaction on the same sofa or bed
• Chairs can be used from either side
• Phone calls now appear on smartphones instead of pop-ups
• Items can be placed on tables while sitting
• Crafting works on all tables
• Zois automatically change into pajamas using the closest wardrobe
• Excessive coffee drinking now has negative effects ☕
• Decaf coffee prevents those effects
• Adults with childish traits can use children's objects

❤️ Romance Updates

• Zois can hold hands with partners and family members
• New traits added:
  • Philandering
  • Single-Hearted

Cheating now has more serious consequences:

• Romance scores drop significantly
• The betrayed partner may confront the cheating Zoi
• The cheating Zoi can attempt to repair the relationship

• Childhood values can influence future traits
• Parenting affects value development
• Babies can become sick
• Babies can be placed in more locations outside the home

• AI behaviors have been improved using a Time, Place, Occasion (TPO) system
• Career and business-related wants are more appropriate
