The next inZOI update arrives on October 15, bringing improvements to Zoi autonomy, conversations, Build Mode, character creation, and modding. The update will also introduce more than 113 new build and interactive objects, new hairstyles and outfits, and expanded tools for creators.
Ahead of the release, the development team has shared a new video demonstrating how players can create script mods using AI assistants and the in-game MCP integration, even without programming experience.
🤖 Create Script Mods With AI and MCP
The latest development video focuses on making script modding more accessible. According to the team, players can describe what they want to change in the game using a large language model (LLM), and the game can apply those changes in real time through a script mod.
This process uses MCP integration, allowing compatible AI tools to interact with inZOI. The video demonstrates examples created by development team members, including the prompts they used to achieve their results.
Players interested in trying the system can follow the official setup guide, “Connecting MCP Server to inZOI,” on the game's YouTube channel.
The team cautions that mods can introduce imperfections because they change aspects of the game beyond its original design. Further adjustments can be made through additional prompts or the ModKit, and the video also showcases a mod enhanced using the ModKit's tools.
The goal is to make mod creation more approachable, allowing players to bring their own ideas to life without necessarily having extensive coding knowledge.
🧠 More Natural Zoi Autonomy and Conversations
One of the update's main focuses is giving players greater control over Zoi behavior while making autonomous actions feel more natural.
Improved lot activities
Zois will have improved activity plans based on their age group. They can also move between nearby lots and participate in activities across locations such as Nuri Square and Harang Stream.
When multiple copies of the same object are available, Zois will prioritize objects on the nearest floor and at the shortest distance.
Relationship-aware conversations
Zois will select conversation topics based on their own emotional state, the other Zoi's emotions, their intimacy level, and the nature of their relationship.
The system accounts for different relationship types, including family, friendship, romance, and business relationships.
Greetings will also vary depending on the relationship and mood of the Zois involved. If a Zoi with a poor relationship trespasses into another Zoi's home, they will receive two warnings before being kicked out.
Individual door permissions
Players will be able to configure door permissions for individual household members, providing more control over who can access specific areas.
The update also introduces a Lot Autonomy Plan Edit Mode, expanding the options for managing autonomous activities.
🏡 17 Default Households Receive a Complete Overhaul
The appearances, backgrounds, temperaments, traits, and relationships of 17 default households across Dowon, Bliss Bay, and Cahaya have been reworked.
There is an important limitation: the full changes will apply only to newly started games. Existing save files will receive the updated household descriptions and photos, but not the complete household revisions.
🛁 Improved Bathing Animations and Expressions
Half-bath animations have been extended to flow more naturally, accompanied by relaxed facial expressions that replace the previous neutral ones.
Child Zois will alternate between two different relaxation animations.
The update also fixes an issue where adult male Zois could appear to sink into or float above the bathtub.
🏗️ More Build Mode Freedom and 113+ New Objects
Build Mode receives several additions, including more than 113 new build and interactive objects.
New content includes:
- Salon assets
- European-style clock towers
- New doors and large signs
- LED shelves
- Outdoor sculptures
- Two new tile textures
A tool for drawing basement walls is also being added. New cheat functions will allow free object placement and scaling, giving players more flexibility when designing their builds.
The update also introduces a Build Mode option for setting access permissions for employees and customers, helping prevent customers from freely using objects intended for staff.
👕 New Hairstyles, Facial Hair, Makeup, and Clothing
Create a Zoi and the clothing catalog are receiving a range of additions:
- Five hairstyles
- Three mustaches and three beards
- Three makeup presets
- Two raincoat and rain boot items
- Six themed outfits
- Five anime-style masks
- Additional clothing and shoes
Players will also be able to configure intimacy levels, preferences, and relationships when creating a family, allowing more details to be established before entering the game.
🩹 A New Wall-Mounted Medicine Cabinet
A wall-mounted first-aid medicine cabinet is being added under Build Mode → Props → Decoration for 100 in-game currency.
It offers five medication options for colds, motion sickness, allergies, bronchitis, and pain relief. Players can also check the cabinet's status.
💚 Redesigned Overhead Icons
The update changes how Zoi needs and stat increases appear above their heads.
When a stat increases, its corresponding icon will appear directly above the Zoi. There are 31 different increase icons, replacing the previous numerical stages and progress bars.
Icons for low needs and thought bubbles have also been redesigned.
🌊 First-Person Surfing and Diving
First-person view is being expanded to cover surfing and diving, providing a more immersive way to experience these activities.
🏪 Business Management Improvements
Managing businesses will become more convenient. Players will be able to remove an active business template and replace employees immediately, without having to fire the existing employees first.
The update also introduces autocomplete support for user cheats.
🎉 Social Events and Performance Improvements
Social events will now begin only after all participating Zois have arrived. Participants will also be better at moving fully inside the event venue.
The development team has additionally reduced performance drops caused by large gatherings by introducing a system that reuses nearby Zois.
🤝 Better Hand-Holding Animations
Hand-holding receives several refinements to make movement look more natural. These include improvements to spacing between Zois, waiting when one falls behind, movement through doors, wrist and elbow positions, and finger poses.
Hand-holding will also persist after saving and loading a game. Zois will automatically release each other's hands when using an umbrella.
🎨 Canvas Sharing Improvements
Sharing content through Canvas receives two useful additions:
- Zoi presets will retain their preference information when uploaded.
- Lot presets will include their custom Lot Autonomy Plans when uploaded and shared.
These changes make it easier to share customized Zois and lots with other players.
🧰 Major ModKit Improvements
The update brings several improvements to the ModKit and in-game mod management.
Lua script mod support includes integration with MCP tools and AI assistants, supporting the new approach to creating mods through natural-language prompts.
Other additions include:
- Customization of the game's built-in post-process filters
- A new Hat Wizard tool
- Improved interfaces and faster workflows for the Build and Vehicle Wizards
- An in-game launcher for enabling or disabling Overlay UI mods directly from the HUD
- Custom mod aliases in the Mod Manager
- Improved naming for sorting UI options
Together, these tools aim to make creating, organizing, and managing mods easier.
📅 inZOI Update Releases October 15
The October 15 update focuses on improving existing systems rather than introducing one major new gameplay feature. Its additions cover autonomy, conversations, household relationships, Build Mode, social events, character customization, and modding.
The accompanying video also highlights the growing role of MCP, LLM tools, Lua scripting, and the ModKit in making mod creation more accessible.
The development team acknowledges that inZOI still has room for improvement and plans to continue refining the game through more frequent updates and community feedback.
